Bhima Koregaon violence: Sudha Bhardwaj, Arun Ferreira and Vernon sent to 14 days custody

The Pune Sessions Court sent Sudha Bhardwaj, Arun Ferreira and Vernon Gonzalvis to 14 days judicial custody in Bhima Koregaon violence. Earlier, the court had rejected his bail plea and the three were kept under house arrest. During the procedure in the court, Arun Ferrera told that during interrogation during the detention, he was hit and beaten. Arun Ferrera said that on November 4, during the interrogation, police officers killed 8 to 10 times, due to which his condition worsened and he was taken to the hospital.

Explain that Maharashtra Police arrested Varwar Rao, Arun Ferreira, Vernon Gonzalvis, Sudha Bharadwaj and Gautam Navlakha from the five workers on October 28 in the case of Koregaon Bhima violence. Since then five workers are being kept under house arrest. However, Gautam Navlakha was released by the Delhi High Court.

Earlier, the Bombay High Court had stayed the arrest till November 21, giving relief to alleged Naxal supporter Gautam Navlakha, professor Anand Teltumbde and pastor Stan Swamy. Let us know that Navlakha, Prof Anand and Swami had petitioned in the High Court about the demand for cancellation of cases filed by Pune Police during the hearing on November 2. The High Court said, “Many petitions related to the case are pending in the Supreme Court. Therefore, the Supreme Court order will have to wait. ‘

The next hearing of the case will be on November 21. Last month, the High Court ordered the Pune police not to arrest them. Explain that Naogaon, Varawra Rao, Arun Ferreira, Varunon Gonzalvis and Sudha Bharadwaj were arrested by the Pune Police on August 28, in addition to Naogaon in connection with Koregaon violence and Naxalites.
