CBI Bribe: Patiala House Court granted bail to CBI DSP Devendra Kumar.

Delhi’s Patiala House court has given great relief to the DSP Devendra Kumar, the CBI’s accused in the bribery scandal. On Monday, the court granted bail to Devendra Kumar on a personal bond of Rs 50 thousand rupees on bail. Before that, on Tuesday (October 30th), DSP Devendra Kumar and middleman Manoj Prasad were sent to 14-day judicial custody. Devender Kumar filed a bail application in Patiala House court on Monday. After this the court had sought the CBI response from the bail application.

It is noteworthy that Devendra Kumar was arrested on October 22 for allegedly fabricating a statement of businessman Satish Sana and he is currently on CBI remand. Today their remand period was over but the court has extended it for 14 days. In his petition, he had argued that he was being implicated in a fraudulent case under a conspiracy.

Let us say that in this case of bribery, the name of the special director of CBI Rakesh Asthana is also named. Justice Najmi Vaziri directed the CBI to file a reply on the petition of Prasad on or before October 31. The court fixed the hearing on November 1.
