New Delhi: About 65,000 personnel of central and state police forces will be deployed for the first phase of assembly elections in Naxal-hit Chhattisgarh .
Officials informed this on Wednesday. Elections for the 90-member Chhattisgarh assembly will be held in two phases. The first phase will be held on November 12 and the second phase will be held on November 20.
In Bijapur and Sukma districts, nine security personnel and one cameraman of DD News died recently in two Maoist attacks. In view of these incidents, the security officials have instructed the police personnel to “stay on high alert till the completion of the election process
