New Delhi: Railways get clean chit in a train accident on Dussehra in Amritsar ‘s Amritsar Train Accident . In the accident, 61 people were killed. The Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety (CCRS) has given the clean chit to the Railways. The Railway Investigating Officer has said that the negligence of the people standing on the railway tracks is responsible for the incident to see the Dussehra festival.
Chief Railway Safety Commissioner SK Pathak said in his report, “After carefully observing the facts and evidence, I have reached this final conclusion that on 19th October at 6 pm 55 minutes on the adjoining gate near Ferozpur division Amritsar The train accident happened as a result of the negligence of those people who were standing on the track to see the Dussehra fair. In the report, he has classified the accident as ‘an error in working by the public near the railway line’ and has made many recommendations to avoid such accidents in the future.
