New Delhi: Former CBI Director Alok Vermaresigned from his job in protest against charges and transfers on him. Politics and protests have revived again after the High Level Selection Committee’s decision to remove him as the CBI Director.

Congress raised questions about how Alok Verma was removed from the CBI director’s post . The party has alleged that the High Level Selection Committee made the decision by making the CVC probe report which is wrong.

Congress spokesman Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that the CVC has said in its investigation report that the allegations of taking bribe against Alok Verma have not been found, and the allegations against Alok Verma of saving the accused Rakesh Sinha in the IRCTC case Has not been proven. Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that Alok Verma was not given a chance to speak in front of the selection committee which is wrong. In this case no separate investigation was conducted, neither trials nor any order of court was in order.
